Rather Be Sweating

March 15, 2018

What Kind Of Yogi Are You?

A few weeks ago you decided to give your local yoga studio a try.

Maybe you’d heard about the classes being really hot or really challenging or even therapeutic.

Perhaps friends of yours had convinced you that you would feel amazing after taking a month’s worth of classes.

Depending on your situation, maybe you were experiencing physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual stress that you needed help overcoming.

Whatever the reason for your first class, you did it! You signed up for the Introductory Pass and you’re managing to get some classes under your belt.

And now that you’re well into your Intro Special, you find yourself thinking: What kind of practitioner am I?

Do I want to continue?

And in what capacity?

As a Studio Owner since 2010, I want to help you figure it all out! My studio has a few different class packages to choose from depending on what kind of practitioner you are, and how much you want to make yoga, fitness, and ultimately wellness a part of your life going forward. I’m confident that the information below can help you best decide how to keep coming to the studio, keep sweating, and keep benefiting 🙂

The Unlimited, Take Charge, Life Time Practitioner
From the first breath of your first class, you knew this was a match made in sweaty yoga heaven! The postures, the challenge, the community, the teaching style, the class schedule, the location all came together and made you realize that this yoga had been the missing link in your life. You know you will be practicing until the day you die, and you understand that the transformational benefits and therapeutic healing powers will help you endure any challenge that comes your way. You can’t wait to bring your friends and family to experience the yoga with you. You know that that yoga and hot pilates will heal you if you ever endure an injury. Consistency is key, and you’ll be coming to take yoga at the very least 7 times a month (and often many more times). You love the reality that the more you come, the less expensive each class is! If this is you, your best bet is to jump on to the studio’s Auto Pay Membership. With Auto Pay you get:

  • Unlimited yoga
  • 2 Buddy Passes to bring new friends
  • Recurring monthly payments so you don’t need to think about it
  • Discounts on studio retail
  • One month notice to cancel

The Unlimited, Take Charge, Life Time Practitioner – But Who Doesn’t Like Monthly Payments
You feel exactly like the yogi above, but you just assume pay for it all in one transaction. If that’s you, get the Annual Auto Pay. It’s $999 per year in one payment, and you can keep that rate every year unless you opt-out. You get all the same benefits as the Auto Pay above! Log in to your account at the studio and click under “Contracts” to get this deal.

HERE’S THE “FINE PRINT” WITH THE 2 DEALS ABOVE: YOU’VE GOTTA GRAB ‘EM BEFORE YOUR INTRO EXPIRES!!!!

The Once-A-Week Practitioner
The benefits that you’re experiencing over your Intro month are incredible, yes, but looking at your schedule and your commitments you just can’t seem to figure out where you’d be able to squeeze in more than one class a week. You understand that slow and steady is the name of your game, and you like the idea that if you miss a week due to work or travel or family obligations you won’t be losing anything in terms of your yoga membership. If this is you, your best bet is to take advantage of one of Bikram Yoga Natick’s class pack options:

  • 20 Class Pack (12 month expiration)
  • 10 Class Pack (6 month expiration)

The great thing about a class pack is that if you blow through all 10 or 20 classes quickly and then realize that an unlimited membership would be better for you, you can always jump on to Auto Pay or the Annual later on down the line.

The Out of Towner
You were visiting us from out of town, and you practice regularly at your home studio. You loved what you experienced at Bikram Yoga Natick, and you want a friend from here to experience this studio and the life-changing benefits of Bikram Yoga. Show some love with a gift certificate in any amount that your friend can redeem anytime right here.

The Confused New Practitioner
If you haven’t taken more than a handful of classes, or if the classes you took were really hard, or if you’re struggling with injuries or limitations, I want to hear from you! My biggest passion in life is helping people realize how they can heal with Bikram Yoga, so if it wasn’t adding up for you, let me help. Comment below or send me an email (maria@bikramyoganatick.com) about what you’re going through. Let me help you get the most of your Intro Special, and if you do have some issues in your tissues, I can give you personal tips and instruction on how to make the yoga feel truly therapeutic. Sometimes it helps to just be able to talk it through.

I hope this helped give you an idea of what kind of yogi you are, and how you are best able to care for your physical as well as financial well-being!
